Collagen for Pain-Free Joints

There is no question on how beneficial collagen is for us, after all, collagen is the most abundant protein in our body.  It is key for the structure of bone, skin, muscle, cartilage, tendons and ligaments.  This is why collagen is essential for maintaining mobility.  But there are different sources of collagen and different types of collagen.  Let me explain to you the difference.

The more common ones available are the bovine and the marine collagen. Bovine is usually the one used for joint pain, bone health, muscle formation, weight management and to a lesser extent for skin and hair health.  Marine collagen seems to be more indicative for the cosmetic reasons only.
